Big Wild Goose Pagoda
A 64-meter Buddhist pagoda built in 652 AD to house scriptures brought from India by monk Xuanzang. A symbol of the Silk Road.

Roujiamo
Often called 'Chinese hamburger' — slow-cooked shredded pork stuffed in freshly baked flatbread. Xi'an's most iconic street food.
Biangbiang Noodles
Wide hand-pulled noodles with a character so complex (58 strokes) it can't be typed. Served with chili oil, garlic, and vegetables.
Yangrou Paomo
A hearty mutton soup where diners first break bread into tiny pieces, then the chef pours hot broth over it. A communal Xi'an tradition.

Tang Dynasty Show
A spectacular performance recreating the music and dance of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), when Xi'an (then Chang'an) was the world's largest city.
